Welcome to Thurleigh a small rural school with a roll of 74 children in September 2016. The original building dates from  1876 which has been supplemented by the addition of a large build in 1974. The school has the advantages of a large playing field, woodland walk and an outside wooden play area.

The school is a part of the
Kymbrook and Thurleigh Federation this provides us with many benefits and opportunities. The school is maintained by the local authority and caters for the age range of 3-9 years with an Early Years facillity on site for children from 3. The School Day begins at 8:55am and ends at 15:20pm Monday to Friday. We also run a Breakfast Club from 8:00am and an After School Club until 17:30pm Monday to Thursday,17.00pm on Friday. Both Clubs are held on school premises and are led by our own staff, enabling us to provide you with wrap around care opportunities.
We believe strongly in Equal Opportunities , school has access for pupils with  disabilities.
The Staff and Governors strive to provide the best education possible for each  individual child’s needs and abilities.

We believe that the school is more than just the curriculum that we provide for your children. We will ensure that your children have a safe, secure and happy time in school; we will help them to grow morally, spiritually, physically as well as academically.

We are a Values federation basing all our shared experiences, practices and behaviour systems firmly on a foundation of shared and understood values.

Mrs. Verity Slaughter-Penney is federation Head Teacher.
