We are organised into three classes. Oaks - Reception Children ( 15 max ), Willows - Year 1 & 2 children ( 30 max ) and Chestnuts - Year 3 & 4 children ( 30 max)
Our School Day.
8:00a.m. - From 8:00 a.m. Breakfast Club children begin to arrive in school.
8:50a.m. - From 8:50a.m. onwards members of staff enter the playground to enable parents to drop children off safely into our care. Please park in the Village Hall Car Park and use the rear path to the playground.
8.55a.m. - At 8.55a.m. all the children line up in their class lines to begin their school day.
9:10-9:30 a.m. - Everyone Reading In Class ( E.R.I.C.)
9:30-10:30a.m. - Numeracy Classes.
10:30 - 10:45 a.m. - Assemblies - Monday is Celebration Assembly children can bring acheivements from home to share e.g. swimming certificates, trophies, experiences like learning to ride a bike etc.
11:00-11:30 a.m. - Sounds Write our chosen phonics scheme - Children are taught in small focussed groups ( 'Stage not Age')
11:30-12:00p.m.. - Teachers discretion.
12:00-1:00p.m. Lunch time.
1:00-3:20p.m. On Monday Wednesday and Thursday this is dedicated 'Topic Based' Curriculum time. We use our Pupil focussed Topics to teach all Foundation Subjects, Science, R.E. and I.C.T.
On a Tuesday Willows and Chestnuts have R.E. and French Lessons in the afternoon.
On Tuesday Wilows Class and Oaks Class have 'Premier Sport' for half of this session.
On Friday Chestnuts Class and Willows Class have 'Premier Sport' back to back with SEAL's .
