Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you enjoyed our Harvest Festival. This was a rather special event as it was the first time we have performed our Harvest celebration in the new hall. It was so lovely to see everyone who came to support us. The children performed marvellously and had worked so hard learning the songs and poetry, we were all incredibly proud of them. We would also like to say a very big thank you for the wonderful donations to Prebend Street Day Centre for the homeless and rootless. We feel this is an extremely worthy charity and your support will help so many. Here is a small sample of the amazing variety of food and toiletries that you so generously donated. With the Harvest now finished it will soon be time to start thinking about Christmas! Look out for lots of exciting events, this Christmas season. Details will follow after half term.

Friends of Thurleigh (FOTs)

FOTs have asked for donations of cakes for a cake sale which will take place on Monday 16th October. The theme is ‘Autumn’ and our Year 5 children will be selling them at break time. Please send your child/children in with some loose change if they would like to buy a cake. After school the FOTs will be selling any remaining cakes…. if they haven’t all been eaten already! The FOTs group have been working tirelessly at raising funds to have a new piece of playground equipment installed for the children to use. We hope that this will be in place towards the end of the Autumn Term.
